This week, we are diving into all things Jackie Chan! We jumped into one of his earliest starring roles that helped him break out into the mainstream in 1978, "Drunken Master," directed by Yuen Woo-ping, where he mixed the martial arts and comedy genres to fuse them into a cohesive subgenre that exploded into popularity as a result. His mainstream appeal further catapulted him to success, such that he directed the first two Police Story movies. For the third movie, which Stanley Tong directed, his stunt work, comedy, and action propelled it into success, such that it received an American release in 1996.
