We discuss different strategies for having productive, substantive political conversations with family during Thanksgiving, with a nod towards the general problematic nature of the holiday as a whole. We'd enjoy the turkey and stuffing a whole lot more if public school textbooks more accurately reflected the nature of the relationship between European settlers and Native Americans.
