My guest on today's show, Mrs. Jane Paterson is a professional public speaking coach who believes that when women develop their overall speaking skills, they are empowered to speak up, grow their careers, bring about change, and inspire others.

She shares that women are more afraid to speak up than men, that men would interrupt a female speaker 10 times more than they would ever interrupt a male speaker, and the difference between the speaking styles of men and women. 

This conversation was very inspiring to me because as a woman in podcasting and a speech-language pathologist I get to witness these dynamics quite often. It is important to spread awareness about this, to empower more women to speak up and take back the mic.
