Gregory Slayton was appointed U.S. Consul General and Chief of Mission to Bermuda by United States President George W. Bush. He was sworn in by U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice on August 15, 2005. The Consul General is the senior U.S. diplomat to Bermuda, a British overseas territory.
