Dear Sisters
Happy 2021! Welcome to the first monthly episode of the podcast. Wow! 30 days into this New year, such a blessing to even have the breath of life and time to put this episode in (whilst we still can).
I just wanted to encourage you with a portion of scripture that encouraged me this month. It helped me to recognize that my discontentment (complaining, grumbling, me-ing everything) is because I am angry at God. I am not satisfied with what he has given or what He hasn't given. Has that ever occurred to you? hahaha! ;) I am most certain it has. But isn't in wonderful we have God's written Word to learn these things about ourselves and that His kindness can lead us to repentance and just depend on Him?
There is always this selfish and sinful want for more, for better, for greater, etc. Take a moment to ask yourself, is Christ not enough for me? Is His Gospel not sufficient for me and my sin problem? The role He has given, the stewardship is it not enough? why do I want what I want? [Recognize how many 'I's are in there?]
I encourage you to have a listen, study the portions of scripture ad just pray. God is faithful to forgive our sins and He will save us when we call out to Him. Rejoice, pray, be thankful, be filled with the Spirit, hold fast to what is good and abstain from all evil. Be comforted and content because in Christ that is where you find your worth and your identity. He is enough.
By his Grace,
Una
