This week our topic is psychological thrillers and we discuss two very different films within that genre. The first is Perfect Blue. Satoshi Kon’s debut feature uses dreamlike animation in a haunting portrayal of dissociation and psychological turmoil. Our second film is Saltburn, a witty dark comedy with plenty of shock value. We discuss the differences in each film’s approach to telling their stories within this genre.
