Between 1993 and 1996 The Public Enemy won the ECW tag team championships on four different occasions, but that almost didn’t matter. Their allure didn’t come from dramatic title wins or dominant championship reigns. They represented a counter culture no longer willing to remain underground. They were an unapologetic embodiment of the times, characters that looked and felt like the reality outside the arenas.

This is the story of two hoodies from South Central who came to call South Philadelphia home. This is the story of the birth of ECW and one of pro wrestling’s most iconic arena. This is the story of how one tag team helped pave the way for a roster willing to take it to the extreme.
