Tati Limati is a Ukrainian-born Shibari artist and instructor with over 12 years of dedicated practice in the art of Japanese rope bondage. She trained in Europe and Japan under esteemed masters, including Naka Akira, Ren Yagami, Kinoko Hajime, Nicolas Yoroi, and in Yukimura-style bindings.
Her distinctive style fuses martial arts (Aikido), contact improvisation, Tantra, Qi Gong, and Thai massage into each tie and movement, bringing elegance, emotional depth, and improvisational authenticity to her practice. Over her career, she's also organized international events across Ukraine and Poland, and regularly performs in Shibari Theatre productions throughout Asia and beyond.
Tati holds a background in psychology and integrates trauma-informed insights into her teaching—inviting participants to explore motivation, identity, and the impact of rope positions on emotional and nervous system states.
In her sessions, she guides students to go beyond imitation—to move from choreography to self-expression, using rope as a medium for creative authenticity, emotional release, and embodied presence.
