Confidently Me

Ep 62. Managing abnormal pap smears(HPV) the emotional rollercoaster as a woman

Listen Later

Today I shared my journey on living with HPV and how this has affected me emotionally and really tested my patience.

I have a history of HPV and this last week I had to have further tests which showed CIN2/CIN2 and now require surgery to remove the abnormal cells and see what else could be going.

It a virus that seems to stick around and nobody really understands it and it can really be quite scary especially if untreated it can turn to cancer.

I live a very healthy life and take care of myself really well and for some reason my immune system is struggling fighting it and I have no doubt that the covid vaccine has not helped either.

What I do know is that I have been living with this for years and my doctors and health professionals have my back and I will not give up on this until I find a cure!

If you are someone that is also going through this I am sending you big love and hugs.
