Instruction manuals for ourselves and for other people around us. ⁣

-My husband should come home on time. ⁣

-He should take the trash out. ⁣

⁣

And when the other person does not follow our manual or doesn't do it right, then we are distraught. ⁣

⁣

We go back to emotional childhood where we are blaming and depending on others for our emotions. ⁣

⁣

The worst is when we have manuals for ourselves and then beat ourselves up for not living up to our expectations. ⁣

⁣
