Cheryl McCutchan has a PhD in biology, is a freelance science illustrator, animator, writer and editor. She is also a mom and wife who loves to be outdoors!

Freelance isn't the most common type of work within the scientific community. Cheryl was working on her post doc and was having difficulty managing motherhood and her academic work. She made the choice to pursue freelance work to allow her to be the kind of mom she wanted to be and live the life she wanted.

Years later she continues to have steady work, professional fulfillment and the family life she wants!
