Lainy Carta was living a normal teenage life until one decision changed everything. As a junior in high school, she was the passenger of a car involved in a drunk driving accident. which left her paralyzed and seeking out her new normal.

As she was finding her way through the world in a wheelchair, she suffered the devastating loss of her father.

She also created The Lainy Loyola Foundation, which is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to providing technologically advanced walking devices to rehabilitation facilities and individuals with spinal cord injury to improve their physical and mental well being in society. She also speaks to high school students about the dangers of drinking and driving.

She earned a Masters in Science in Speech Language Pathology and is writing her first book.
