The Revisioners is a multigenerational story told in alternating chapters from the points of view of a biracial single mom in 2017, and a former sharecropper turned farm-owning widow in 1924.
It's Throwback Thursday, and in today's episode, I'm sharing an interview with author Margaret Wilkerson Sexton to talk about her novel, The Revisioners. The Revisioners is a multigenerational story told in alternating chapters from the points of view of a biracial single mom in 2017, and a former sharecropper turned farm-owning widow in 1924. The novel weaves the stories of five generations of women, and we see their fight for freedom and survival, plus the love, honor, and gratitude for the generations who came before.
This interview was originally recorded in October 2019.
