Traditional limb difference devices can cost thousands of dollars and need to be replaced as children grow. Australian engineer, Mat Bowtell is changing lives by creating and sharing his Open Source 3d print prosthetic designs with the rest of the world. 

3 years ago after being made redundant when Toyota ceased manufacturing in Australia, Mat was forced to consider his future. Today he is confident he has found that future. His passion and purpose; to help others with limb differences improve their quality of life. One of those he helped, 3 year old Izzy, was so grateful her and her mother nominated FREE 3d Hands for the Sunsuper Dreams for a Better World grant. Mat has made the final 6 and needs votes. Winning will help him increase production and innovation.
