Jesus being the perfect rabbi would be off-limits to sinful men, let alone women. The fact that Jesus allows and even supports the act of this woman anointing Him is astounding. Jesus uses this opportunity to show the religious leaders gratitude that comes from real forgiveness. This teaching is a great guidepost for us, that we should be full of thankfulness to God for our debt is erased.
