The discipline of intentional solitude dates back to the earliest days of creation. The first commandment that God gave man was in solitude in the Garden of Eden (Gen 2:15-17). It is not until after God gives Adam instruction that He gives him a companion. Many times we treat our relationship with God like a business meeting with our supervisor, rather than time with our most precious friend. In this episode, pastor Philip Jackson begins a new series entitled, "Family Disciplines” that examine the foundational characteristics of a godly home life. This week we start with the discipline of Bible study with an interactive lesson on reading God's word.
