During America's Revolutionary War, General Washington built a spy ring that helped produce the outcome we have come to know. Clandestine intelligence gathering, sneaky correspondence, and heroic feats of daring were daily occurrences for the Culper Spy Ring.
Zach and Rafe discuss elements of the ring and their accomplishments, as they are told in Brian Kilmeade and Don Yaeger's 2013 book George Washington's Secret Six; The Spy Ring That Saved The American Revolution.
The first part of a two-part series, this episode takes us from the start of the war up to the temptations of Benedict Arnold, a master strategist but a man hounded by one of Mankind's most basic flaws: the desire for prestige.
