Today’s incredibly moving episode is shared by a woman I have known for a very long time. My sweet friend Terrianne shares with me her story of survival after dying in the operating room after complications from Placenta Percreta. Most of you have probably never heard of this, and the truth is you should, especially if you’ve had a caesarean and/or multiple cesareans.

Terrianne explains to us what this is and why it is so important for women to know about it. Our conversation goes deep into why it is so crucial to educate yourself and advocate for yourself at all costs when it comes to your health. As women, we never want to inconvenience others. We never want to burden others by taking the time to seek the help we need. You’ll hear, in her story, how advocating for herself literally saved her life after healthcare professionals thought she was fine.
 
After hearing her sincere hopes and desires to help other mamas and bring awareness to this condition, I asked Terrianne to share her story. Her bravery in sharing such a vulnerable story is inspiring, moving, and will leave you downright awestruck.
