In this episode, I interview Gayla Scrivener from Scrivener Solutions. Gayla made that 'later in life' transition from the Corporate world to building her own business and creating a new life for herself.
After researching ideas for her new venture, she found that being a VA was a viable option for her to have a portable lifestyle and business.
She landed her first client by local networking but found another long term client by just spreading the word through casual conversation about the need to have a VA.
Through the support of her husband, she was able to continue that portable business lifestyle and take some risks and create a new path for herself.
She eventually built a team of people around her so that she could concentrate on the managerial aspect of the business and get more clients.
As time went on, more and more clients came on board for social media management and writing Copy. The growth continued from solopreneurs that needed to pass along the time consuming, tedious tasks to Gayla’s team.
She has big plans for the upcoming year to have a Community platform full of resources for launching your online business.
I hope her story has been an inspiration to you about how, if we believe in ourselves and what we can accomplish, and take a risk...on ourselves, we can shape our own future and create a path of success.
