I’m solo on the podcast this week and I’m sharing my thoughts on a topic I get asked about a lot. It’s also a topic that can cause a lot of fear and uncertainty and even controversy!

This week, I’m talking about dating and the desire to form a relationship after loss. If you're looking to partner with or to share your life with someone, dating is complex and a lot of people find it really hard to do. It’s understandable to find it hard to put yourself out there again after a death, divorce, infidelity, or break up but I’d like to offer a different view on dating… what if it was easy?

I share what I’ve learned and come to believe about dating after loss, and why I don’t apologize for my independence or the woman I became in response to what happened. My idea of letting it be easy comes from the idea that instead of looking for someone to build a new life around, what if we rebuilt or created our own beautiful life and then allowed someone to share in it with us? It takes the pressure off, and it allows us to stop waiting for someone to show up for us - we can instead show up for ourselves.
