It's week 2 of A Kingdom of Flesh and Fire by JLA and we're reading chapters 12-22 this week. In this episode, the Ascended come for a visit and Poppy does something to protect everyone, Casteel comes for her but doesn't have to save her because she saved herself! Our main couple also struggle with trying to convince everyone that their marriage is real. Poppy and Casteel take a trip to Spessa's End but are attacked on the way there by humans that wear skin for masks!
