Change can be hard -- in part because we're used to our current life. The feelings that create and sustain our current life feel like home. To foster change -- a new job, new independence, new partnership, new self concept -- we need to embrace unfamiliar feelings. In this episode, I give an example from my own life and that of my clients and how we realized that our scrappiness and hustle was functional and familiar -- until it wasn't. Then we had to turn up the volume on unfamiliar feelings.
