Raise your hand if you have fallen for the excellent marketing skills behind some type of self-care. Gracious knows I have. A couple of decades working in the fashion industry would make it impossible not to fall for them. I am sure you could tick off a long list of things the world considers as acts of self-care. Top of mind for me would be nail appointments, salon dates, and spa treatments. And you can always count on the "treat yourself" mentality that is out there. But what if self-care for you felt different than how the world presents it?
