After Roe v. Wade was overturned, a friend texted me, filled with despair about the future. This episode is for her -- and for you and for all of us who are feeling hopeless right now. In it, I draw on my 25 years of experience as a Holocaust scholar and educator to reflect on hope and why we might want to stop looking for reasons to feel hopeful and instead focus on believing in ourselves. I share two examples of resistance from the Warsaw Ghetto to explore what they show us about hope and heroism.
