It's not a virus that eats the flesh... But it is a Virus... that has us captive.  Living our lives as if driven by a force we don't even understand.  It has us doing things to/with ourselves and each other, that if we had the ((Eyes to See)), and the ability to ((de-normalize)) the mass depression of Humanity, we would be horrified (blood and gore optional).
