Sydney Tonight

Ep 8- When Will The Metro Trackwork Be Over?! with Daniel Nour

Listen Later

After years of waiting for the Sydney Metro extension through to Bankstown to be over, you might be growing a little impatient. Fortunately, I've brought project manager of the Sydney Metro, Mr Martin Place, on the show to get some updates.

I also get out of Sydney for the first time on the show this week, heading down to Melbourne to see how their new metro is doing in comparison to our own. The Melbourne Metro opened up at the end of 2025 and they have been loving it down there, so while I was in the area I checked it out for myself and found more than a few similarities...

And finally, you'll meet Daniel Nour (author, performer) to talk about his book How To Dodge Flying Sandals, learning to haggle for things from his father, and going on one of the worst dates that I have ever heard about. You can catch Danny at the Mardi Gras debate on Thursday 19th February!

Thanks to Mark Williamson, Nathan Roach, and Daniel Nour.

Sydney Tonight is produced at 2SER studios in Ultimo, Sydney. The show is broadcast every Tuesday night at 7:30pm from Chatswood to Cherrybrook, Blacktown to Bankstown, Parramatta to Penrith!
