Can concentration save a lodge?
In this episode of Masonic Muscle, I read an article from Bill Hinbern’s Super Strength Training website called “Concentration” and connect it directly to Freemasonry, lodge leadership, officer development, and the work every aspiring officer must learn to do.
Concentration matters in the gym.
It also matters in the lodge.
A man who cannot focus under the bar will not train well.
A Mason who cannot focus in the lodge will not lead well.
Then I read from Brother John S. Nagy’s book:
The Craft Unmasked: The Uncommon Origin of Freemasonry and Its Practice
I cover pages 43–48, including the section:
Conversion — Unaltered — Preservation — Participation
This episode solves one Masonic Muscle problem:
How can lodges improve if officers and members lack the concentration, discipline, and historical understanding needed to change what has been broken for decades?
We discuss:
A lodge does not improve because men complain.
A lodge improves when men concentrate.
They study.
They prepare.
They show up.
They lead.
They participate.
They preserve what matters.
They change what is failing.
The only way out is to learn from the past and then become the change.
Have an origin theory, Masonic question, old document, book recommendation, lodge problem, fitness transformation story, or research lead?
