Today's guest on Just Havin a Crack is Lawyer come poet Jason "Rupert" McCall.
Rupert's poems are now folk law amongst everyday Australians, but there is more to his story.
Rupert is part of a unique group of people that grew up in Redcliffe where their bonds run deep. Rupert hasn't lost his Redcliffe swagger and his love of his team the Dolphins.
The Redcliffe connection when Rupert was going through a difficult time took him on a journey to New York where he recited a poem at Ground Zero in commemoration for the fallen firefighters of the 9/11 disaster.
Poetry has given Rupert an avenue to express himself and given situations relevance through words. Starting when poetry was considered cool.
Words, expressions and dignity has given Rupert a life less travelled.
