In this section Paul gives practical instruction on the mindset of believers in regard to conflict with each other and God’s response to division within the church. He transitions from the command to put on the new man to illustrate the natural response of a child of God to the difficulty of human relationships. Through a compare and contrast method, he highlights the practical ways that a child of God takes off the old man, and puts on the new.
