It’s Christmas time!!! + + What does that mean??? Well…it can mean a whole lot depending on who you are, even if you are Muslim. + + If you are a Muslim Christmas shouldn’t mean anything…we don’t celebrate it. As Rahsool SAWS said, “There are only two Eids.” + + Allah SWA didn’t forget to include any other holidays. Yet, if you have non-Muslim friends or colleagues, it may mean an awkward or difficult time in being invited to attend many parties and gatherings. + + Now if you are a “revert” or “new Muslim” it is EVEN MORE DIFFICULT. This is a nostalgic time of the year when many will be torn between their families and their new religion. + + No matter which category you fall into, the question arises….”How can we handle our family members and friends who need us to participate in a holiday that isn’t in line with our beliefs?” + + In this episode, we talk about how what we can do to find a middle ground and how we can maintain our identity despite the emotion and pressure. + + **No music was used to make this podcast - Alaa Wardi - vocals only **Blog Post: How to Handle the Holidays with Family https://mindful-muslimah.com/2018/12/19/family-in-the-holidays/ **Sign up to get notices on our “Love Series” Facebook Lives, an invasion to our new exclusive FB Group with our 5-day challenge and $250 dollar prize by downloading my checklist.
