Mr. Belvedere

"The Counselor" (6 May, 1988) It's Summer Vacation at the Owens house and Wesly (Brice Beckham) gets shipped off to day camp since Mr. Belvedere (Christopher Hewitt) is too busy not hustling George (Bob Uecker) at golf. Things get a little touchy when Wes gets a little too much attention from Counselor Perry (Michael Horton). Mr. B notices Wes isn't up to his usual monkey shines and things come to a head when Wes puts the kibosh on Perry being left alone with another camper. This episode comes complete with a post-show PSA starring Brice Beckham and Christopher Hewitt addressing the audience out of character. Very Special Television tackles some serious subject matter like Mr. Belvedere's secret disguise trunk, fastfood uniforms and their wacky hats and the Owens parents keeping their cool in the presence of their sons abuser.
