Before Pauline and I got married we were just friends.

See I knew Pauline for over a year before we dated and I was never interested in her romantically. And she wasn’t interested in me romantically either lol

We would not be together if someone had not recommended that I date her and if I had not been open to trying something new

Did I think Pauline was the best woman out there for me?

No not at the time because I was still stuck in fantasyland thinking maybe someone else is out there who is better

The Bible says that Farmers who wait for perfect weather never plant. If they watch every cloud, they never harvest.

Be Careful waiting for that “perfect person” because you may never find them.

I am so glad I got to know Pauline. I know it can be hard especially for men in a church context to put themselves out there but when you use The Confirmation you are able to talk to the right people and not come across as a player.

The second part of The Confirmation is getting clarity from God on next steps. See God spoke to me in a way that I felt comfortable making a move to get to know Pauline but not date her.
