Chad Austin is a personal trainer, speaker, and owner of Priority Fitness, inspired by the title of his book, "Make Fitness A Priority: How to win the fight against your excuses." Chad was inspired to focus his speaking and writing on long-term health after seeing so many people reach their short-term fitness only to fall back into prior bad habits. He’s passionate about helping people who can’t find time for fitness to learn how to stop making excuses so that they can make it a priority in their lives. He expertly helps steer people away from the desire of instant gratification and helps them make changes that lead to long-term fitness, not just temporary success.

There are so many predators in the weight loss market trying to make a quick buck by giving you a quick fix for weight loss and health, but we should all know by now that what’s quick to come is also quick to leave. That’s why Chad is so motivated to share that it’s the long-term, daily actions you do that lead to real, lasting health. The best way to focus on those long term goals is to look at what you gain through exercise instead of only looking at what you lose. It’s about changing your mindset to rethink what wellness means for you.

How do you make fitness a priority and stop making excuses, then? It’s not easy, that’s for sure. There are any number of excuses we can make, and they can all seem legit… But there’s always a counter-argument to be had. In Chad’s book, each chapter is dedicated to an excuse you could have and how to overcome it. You can always find an excuse — or you find a way. 

And that’s the only way to make long-term health happen.
