Ep 98: Gratitude, Joy, and Living to Fulfill Your Telos
Rafe shares some stories about the the miracles of modern medicine and how grateful we should be to be living in the present age.
What a wonderful age! What we take for granted is astounding.
What this means is that we should be infinitely grateful for what have. Gratitude has benefits in its expression, namely that it promotes humility, it is honest, it is attractive, and it inspires.
But what provides the basis for these astounding advancements and their tremendous impact on human flourishing? Strong faith can move mountains, but it does so by encouraging us to seek the rational God in the wonders of the universe, not by just wishing and hoping.
But stay balanced and don't allow yourself to fall into a trap that technological solutions will bring you great Joy. Stay attuned to your true nature as caretaker of the walled garden, connect with your fellow man, and fulfill your purpose, your telos, with gratitude.
