Becoming the owner of a franchised TONI&GUY; salon was something that I considered in my early hairdressing career. And I was not alone! One of the biggest hair brands in the world, many hairdressers and non-hairdressers have gone on to successfully open up their own franchised TONI&GUY; salons. Just like our guest today, Dette Cliff, who is the successful salon owner of TONI&GUY; Broadbeach on the Gold Coast of Australia. Today we will be hearing her story and experiences that led her to opening this salon.

Ever since I began to get to know Dette as one of my Patreon members, I’ve enjoyed learning more on her story of how she moved from Leeds in the North of England to Australia. Her story tells of how she moved to Australia as an accountant but was drawn to re-training as a hairdresser with TONI&GUY.; This eventually led her to working as a stylist with the brand and then, becoming the owner of her own franchised TONI&GUY; salon. We dive into her firsthand experiences on all of this.

And for all you mums out there, Dette reveals how she has balanced being a mum alongside managing her busy career running a TONI&GUY; salon.
