What IS the Future of Music Income?

What will music licensing continue to make us income from this point on? The actors and writers are striking in Hollywood, what’s the need for sync licensing music if no shows are being made?

We already know that non-exclusive stock music has taken a hit across the board since the hey days of AudioJungle and Pond5 paying hundreds and thousands 10 years ago. Is it still an income we can count on and should you even TRY it?

We know that COVID completely wrecked and reshaped live music performance income. What’s the future there?

What about jobs in schools, or churches teaching or leading in music? Is there a future there? Is that changing?

What about sheet music? Gaming music? Beats? Are those going to continue to be viable ways to make any income with our music?

What about Spotify and DSPs? Will it continue to be a penny business or will payouts increase?
