A participant in my face-to-face session requested I recreate one of my role plays for the podcast so he could listen again - great suggestion! This week focus on:
1. The times when you can say, "I care about you enough to address this issue even though it's uncomfortable for both of us. It would be easy to ignore this situation, just like the people before me did. However, that would feel disrespectful to me, so let's work together and figure out an approach that might feel more positive for everyone involved."
2. Reviewing past evaluations with the intention of finding something positive to build on.
3. Being honest about those times when you might be "building walls".
Please recommend the podcast to other people! At the time of this recording we're at 500 subscribers. Let's get it to 1,000 by the end of the year so we can expand our circle of Relatable Leaders! I'm going to create a Relatable Leader group on my facebook page so our community of leaders can interact with each and share expertise. Please join us!
If you use a technique from the podcast or find any information especially useful, please tweet me at Catherine Goggia@goggia or email me at [email protected], I’d love to share your successes with the Relatable Leader audience!
