Day one of the Camino and I hit the most dramatic start possible: airport security was completely rammed and I literally watched the gate slam shut right in front of me. At that exact moment, my head was all over the shop and fuming.

But then I remembered the conversation I had with my friend before, I asked him: "Have you decided to accept this happened in your life?" So I chose to just take it on the chin. I sorted a new ticket, paid the extra fee and re-routed. I realised as long as the adventure carries on, burning a bit of cash or changing the plan is no big deal.
