Episode Spotlight: Blair Jarrard

Blair Jarrard– Christ-follower, husband (his wife is a full-time pro hair-stylist and salon owner AND homeschooling mom), dad of 4 kids (2 boys, 2 girls), business owner, entrepreneur, coffee lover, golfer by skill and hobby and all-around nice guy!

Synopsis & Notes:
Understanding your audience is key. If you have kids that are 2, 4, 6 or 10 then adjust your message and time to best fit their needs and understanding.
Teach your family/kids to see your love for Jesus.
Pray the Word. Sing the Word. Teach the Word.
It can be as simple as prayer time with prayer requests from your kids.
Sometimes it’s structured, formal and formulaic and other times it’s an organic, as-you-go flow.
Meals are very practical times for family worship. Especially breakfast times.
Ask your kids their favorite part of the day VS. their hardest part of the day and then apply a verse or principle to it and pray for them.
We all live busy lives so be thankful for any time you do have with your family in worship during the week; even if it’s 5 or 10 minutes.
God doesn’t keep a scorecard of our family worship time in heaven.
Some men may say, “How do I know if I’m qualified to do this? Because God made you a father with children.” If you have kids, then you are already qualified and equipped to lead them.
