As the month of February ends, I decided to share my thoughts in relation to Black History Month and my own experience as a Jamaican woman of African descent. Recent conversations with a colleague created a greater awareness of how my upbringing shaped my perspective. It’s amazing how my thoughts and responses are strikingly different in some ways from my African American friends and colleagues. Listen to this reflective journey.
