This week, Iffy records a little voice note and shares her reaction to the news about a 73 year old Nigerian nanny sentenced to jail in the U.S for force feeding a baby under her care.
Force feeding is an ancient practice. But I wouldn't say common, especially in 2019.
Forcing a baby to eat against their will, especially when the baby is positioned in an awkward manner is horrific. So if you are listening to #sweetmother podcast right now, and know of someone, a granny, a mother, a mother- in -law, aunty, nanny or other carers that practice this barbaric act, please advise against this method of feeding because of its deadly consequences.
Thanks so much for listening to the show as always. Don't forget to subscribe.
