EP061 Year End Review - What will you START, STOP, and CONTINUE in New Year?

I recommend you apply a formula I use when coaching employee development. It’s a basic format I share in training and it works. In order to live the life you dream of, what do you need to START, STOP, and CONTINUE in each of the 8 principle life areas?

For each area you identify something you know you should start doing to improve your level of satisfaction in that area. Or maybe it’s something that’s recently come up that you’ve been thinking about. Schedule in your plan: when will you start taking this action?

Next, identify activities that no longer serve you in terms of creating a happy and healthy life, or moving you closer to your goals. These activities might simply be time wasters. Or, they might be clearly unhealthy, but you keep doing it. Or it might be something you say or do, and every time you say or do it, you know no good is going to come of it. Stop it!

The “continue” category is important, especially in those areas of your life where you are satisfied or extremely satisfied. Keep doing whatever it is you are doing to create a positive state of being! By identifying the actions you want to continue, you bring them into focus. This is a simple way to validate yourself for good efforts!

Go through Tip # 9 in the Attitude book and complete the wheel of life exercise. Specific to planning for this coming year, apply the START, STOP, CONTINUE method for each area of your life:
