私は、日本とシンガポールのコンビニをよく比べてしまいます。

I often find myself comparing convenience stores in Japan and Singapore.

まず、日本のコンビニを思い出します。

First, I think about convenience stores in Japan.

日本では、夜でも開いている店が多いですね。

In Japan, many of them are open even at night.

最近は、夜ずっと開いていない店も少し増えてきました。

Recently, some are no longer open all night.

それでも、夜に開いている店があると安心します。

Still, it feels reassuring to have a shop open late at night.

日本のコンビニには、本当にいろいろな物があります。

Japanese convenience stores really have so many things.

雑誌もあります。

They even sell magazines.

子どものころ、コンビニで立ちながら漫画を読んでいたことを思い出します。

I remember standing in a convenience store and reading comics when I was a child.

化粧品や歯ブラシもあります。

They sell cosmetics and toothbrushes.

下着まで売っている店もあります。

Some even sell underwear.

トイレがあるのも、うれしいポイントです。

Having a toilet is also a nice point.

急いでいる時、とても助かります。

It really helps in an emergency.

アイスやデザートも充実しています。

Their ice cream and desserts are well stocked.

あたたかいスナックもあります。

They also have hot snacks.

そして、郵便を送ることもできます。

You can also send parcels there.

ATMがあるので、お金を下ろすこともできます。

They also have ATMs, so you can withdraw money.

本当に、便利なお店だなと思います。

I really feel they live up to the name “convenience store.”

では、シンガポールのコンビニはどうでしょうか。

シンガポールにもセブンイレブンがあります。

There are also 7-Eleven stores in Singapore.

おにぎりもあります。

They sell rice balls.

ツナマヨやうなぎが入っています。

サンドイッチもあります。

カップラーメンや菓子パンもあります。

You can buy cup noodles and sweet bread.

コーヒーも買えます。

You can get coffee as well.

旅行者のために、充電器やモバイルバッテリーも売っています。

They even sell chargers and mobile batteries for travellers.

でも、全体で比べると、

But overall,

私は、やはり日本のコンビニの方が少し便利かなと思います。

I still feel that Japanese convenience stores are a little more convenient.

もちろん、これは私の個人的な感想です。

Of course, this is just my personal opinion.

シンガポールのコンビニも、とても役に立っています。

Convenience stores in Singapore are also very helpful.

ただ、コンビニに関しては、日本の方がいいですね。

But when it comes to convenience stores, I think Japan might be better.
