-Operation Ivy Reunion

last Saturday (February 5th) Jesse Michaels and Tim Armstrong surprise-reunited to perform their old band's classic "Sound System" at the Musack Rock and Roll Carnival in LA last night.

Tim Armstrong and members The Interrupters were there as the backing band for 2 The Specials, and as Jesse posted in his Instagram stories, he hopped on stage to do the Op Ivy song right before The Specials went on. (He also posted video of The Specials and wrote "dream come true for me to see The Specials in any form and this squad def rocked.") Very good quality video of the mini reunion was posted by Riot Style, and as you can hear, they sounded great!

-The Step Daughters

On Friday February 4 Orange County ska punk band released their duet album called, The Right Sound. For right now you can only order the album from Jumpuprecords.com. -The Slackers

On Friday February 4 The Slackers announced their first record in 6 years. It is titled “Don’t Let The Sunlight Fool Ya”. This also the first single released off the album. You can preorder the vinyl now from Pirates Press Records. Orders will begin being shipped on April 1.
