It was the evening of October 25th 2023, when 21 year old water polo coach Lilie James entered the gymnasium washrooms after finishing work. She had always felt safe and comfortable in St Andrews cathedral school in Sydney , CBD and had no reason to be afraid as she is caught on cctv entering the cubicle to change out of her work gear .

But little did she know that laying in wait for her was the bitter and controlling man she had briefly dated, 24 year old Paul Thijssen.

For days he had meticulously planned a savage attack on Lilie that would sadly take the bright, talented young woman’s life in the most brutal way, leaving her family & friends devastated.
