Rand sends a message to Ebou Dar, Tylee and Mishima meet their first Trollocs, Graendal is privy to some dressing down of Demandred and Mesaana at the hands of Moridin, Rodel Ituralde pulls the trigger on the next phase of his grand plan against the Seanchan, and Masema meets up with Faile. And that's just in the prologue!

Also: Rand's Aes Sedai struggle to interrogate Semirhage while Egwene finally achieves her goal of dealing with pain like the Aiel do. This after a really upsetting meeting with Elaida.

Speaking of Aiel, Aviendha feels stuck and somewhat perplexed by the Wise Ones' treatment and witholding of actual teachings, and finally we check in with the most confused man in the world: Gawyn Trakand.
