Another mixed bag of treats this week with loads of rare POVs!
The Seanchan Seeker, Almurat Mor, makes an appearance and scares the bejsus out of Bethamin, a lame Sul'dam.
She runs to Egeanin who's lounging around with her butler boyfriend and smuggler extraordinaire, Bayle Domon.
We have Rand kicking ass in Far Madding and Padan Fain with a subtle cameo.
And finally we have Cadsuane and an entourage of Aes Sedai and Seafolk show up right outside Far Madding as well. Whooooo, wonder how this is going to go!

It's all happening in Ebou Dar!
Mat's party for the next leg of his journey is taking shape. Alludra, Teslyn, Joline and Tuon are all around him, plus Thom, Juilin, Olver and his closest men from the Band.
Tuon is definitely taking an ineterst in Mat, but Mat can only think of getting out of Ebou Dar and how to squeeze Alludra's secrets from her. Literally.
Oh, and a Gholam tries to kill Mat, only for Jain Farstrider to join his party.
We're gearing up for the great escape from Ebou Dar!

At long last, more rambling!
In this episode Rand is cornered by the women in his life, and made to understand how things will be. Spoiler: Everyone is happy (except Nynaeve)
Cadsuane is doing Cadsuane things, including taking down the Seafolk a peg or two and having Asha'am in civvies serve her mulled wine.
There is a fun little Forsaken gathering with Moridin in fine form.
Tuon arrives! And as if the herald the return of a fan favourite...
...Mat's back! And healing up in Ebou Dar, trying to cuddle the secrets of fireworks out of Aludra.

Hello again, and welcome back to "everybody's popping in"!
We join Elayne and her gang shortly after the attempt at her life and get an unexpected but welcome visit from Egwene in Tel'aran'rhiod.
We also get a glimpse of Slayer and a bit of a debrief from the Black Ajah sisters in Caemlyn, and as if that's not dark enough, a check in with Milli Skane and her latest plant, Daved Hanlon.
We then switch to Nynaeve who is having a torrid time with the Windfinders, but another surprise visit from Rand and Min seems to open the door for her to escape the drudgery of being everyone's teacher.

And they're off! Perrin finally sets off after Faile but not after having to navigate a tricky PR situation and suffering the Prophet's madness.
Elayne meanwhile has a busy morning. Riding around the city, taking reports, getting changed, dealing with the Kin and the "gift" from Rand, managing Vandene and getting frustrated and inspired by Nynaeve in equal measure, and finally gets forkrooted and attacked. It's tough being the Daughter Heir!

Ok, everybody get your scarves and mittens on because we're starting the ol' cold trudge!
Perrin and his entourage leave Abila and the prophet and head back to camp where they find a tense stand off. He learns that Faile has been captured and reacts predictably.
Meanwhile Faile, Alliandre, Maigdin and co are learning what it means to be taken gai'shain, in the snow, on the move. They cross paths with Therava and Sevannah, and regretably, Galina. Immediately plans are made by everyone...

One more time, from the top! Join us as we embark on the journey that is book 9, Winter's Heart.
In the prologue we check in with Seaine and Pevara as they hunt the Black ajah in the White Tower.
We jump over to Elayne who is dealing with the current state of affairs in Andor, including the Black Tower, as well as partaking in a sacred Aiel ceremony.
Toveine is coming to grips with what has happened to the captured sisters and the political undercurrents in the Black Tower.
And finally Rand is jumping around, laying false trails for anyone that might be hunting him, and he explains to Min exactly what he intends to do next. It's a doozy!

It's that time again! A book finale! And boy, what a finale it is. After the wild events of our previous episode, there is plenty more to chew on here.
Elayne has to deal with new developments in the Kin/Aes Sedai relationship, and finally arrives in Caemlyn to begin her claim in earnest.
We bid farewell to Jaichim Carridin, but before you gett too excited, he's replaced by arguably an even more hateful character in Daved Hanlon.
In Cairhien the Aes Sedai kidnappers under Wise ONes control swear fealty to Rand, and soon after his rooms in are exploded. He goes haring off to find the attackers, spooking the Dashiva, Gedwyn and Rochaid who seem to be the perpetrators. Morr is left to defend Min, but he suffers a sad fate.
Perrin finally meets up with Masema, but while he's away Faile and friends are captured by Shaido. We all know where this is going!
We also discuss Book 8 as a whole and whether it should be counted among "The Slog" or not. Spoiler: it shouldn't!

Book 8 is almost done and stuff is HAPPENING!
Rand faces the full Seanchan force at Ebou Dar and stuff goes a little wild.
In the White Tower Elaida is bossed about by Alviarin, who in turn has a meeting with Mesaana and starts to get a little ahead of herself...
The hunt for the Black Ajah in the White Tower has begun in earnest and quickly reaps some rewards. While near the Black Tower, things are not much better for the Aes Sedai.
Rand returns to Cairhien where he has to reckon with Min's annoyance at being shelved while Rand chases danger, and then the Maidens for leaving them behind too. He eventually meets again with Cadsuane and they come to an arrangement.
Let's come to an arrangement as well, and to do so, please use the helpful links below!
