Blood and Ashes: A Wheel of Time Spoilercast

We're back, folks! And by that I don't mean back in your earballs as much as I mean we're all back home. (From our trip!)

Jody in particular had a gruelling trek from Spain to Australia and back again, and unfortunately it impacted on our ability to record a full episode or even the Q&A espiode we had floated as an idea.

We'll incorporate the awesome questions and theories you have sent through into our next couple of episodes, the first of which will be recorded on the 8th of November meaning you'll get it a week later on either the 13th or 14th of November, depending on where you live in the world!

One more time, into the breach! Well, I guess two more times, but let's start with this one for now!

In the prologue for Towers of Midnight we get a couple POVs.

Lonely Lan in the borderlands, Perrin having wacky dreams, Graendal dodging a bullet, Galad trying to do the right thing, Padan Fain being an utter lunatic, and lastly a glimpse into the life of a Kandori border soldier about to be inundated by shadowspawn.

In the chapters proper we stop in with our old friend and apple cart driver, Almen Bunt! things look grim, and then much better for ol' Almen. And I guess, the rest of the world.

Galad and Perrin's stories look to converge iminently, and Rand pop's by Egwene's place for a chat...

We've done it again, gang! We've completed another book and in this episode we discuss the events of the climax as well as the book as a whole.

Among other things we see Egwene finally stake her claim on the real Amyrlin Seat, in the White Tower. She deals with the Tower and rebel Aes sedai in a very fair but stern way, but sets them up for success in the last battle.

Rand is having a tougher time of things. Faced with his adoptive father he is pushed to the limits of what he can bear and almost does two terrible things. He pulls himself back at just the right moment and ends up on Dragonmount to contemplate what is happening. Luckliy for us and the rest of the world, and the pattern itself, he has an epiphany and is also set up for a much more stable run at the last battle.

We're getting to the pointy end now!

We pick up where we left off with Egwene and the White Tower under attack, with Siuan, Gareth and Gavin mounting a rescue attempt.

Ultimately they get Egwene back to the Rebels where there is hell to pay.

Meanwhile Rand turns his back on Bandar Eban's food crisis and Travels to Tear where he gives Darlin new orders.

When he thinks he's meeting with the Borderlanders he meets only Hurin! And after a near miss at Far Madding Rand sends Hurin back to the Borderlander leaders with an ominous message.

After all is said and done, Nynaeve is able to give Cadsuane the location of Perrin and his travel companions...

It's been 4 whole weeks, but we're back to bring you the next batch of delicious Wheel of Time morsels!

In this installment Mat and Verin make a deal while Tuon sends off Seanchan Bloodknives to participate in the attack she ordered in our last episode.

Darth Rand balefires an entire fortress from existence, and freaks everyone out. He thinks he's killed Graendal.

Egwene is escorted back to her room after learning about Silviana, but is greeted by Verin who is waiting for her. ICONIC CHAPTER ALERT!

And finally, Egwene's Dream comes true. But the bad one, not the nice one.

The night is darkest before the dawn, and boy is it getting dark!

Rand and Cadsuane keep running into each other in Bandar Eban, which is tricky when one lives under the threat of murder on sight.

Nynaeve is kicking ass though, going on what feels like a bottled episode to track down the missing king.

Rand gains some information on Graendal's whereabouts, but at a high cost.

Mat ogles Aludra's dragon designs after planning an elaborate cover for him and a few others to enter Trustair. But instead, Trustair comes to Mat.

And Rand finally meets Tuon face to face, and sparks fly.

Welcome back folks, to this, a real episode of 2 halves.

In the first half, Mat and his crew encounter their strangest unravelling of the pattern yet. We'll leave it at that.

In the 2nd half we join our two sulkiest boys: Rand and Gawyn.

Rand is all up in his head as he rides into Bandar Eban and meets with his first captured member of the Merchant Council, and Gawyn has some meetings. First with Lelaine and then with Gareth Bryne, and neither goes his way.

Ok, whoah. I hope you've all had a good day because this episode contains some of the darkest times for our boy, Rand! But we also get into some great callbacks, so there is always that!

Perrin dips his toes back in the wolf dream while Faile has a small secret ceremony for the women who had to kill the brotherless who had helped them in Malden.

Then it's time for sad things. Semirhage makes her final play on Rand and Min is caught in the crossfire. Things go real sideways.

When the dust has settled, Rand is even more broken and he banishes Cadsuane from his sight with threat of death.

Meanwhile, Gawyn arrives at Gareth Bryne's camp and gets a fresh cup of wake-the-hell-up from his former teacher.

In the rebel camp Sheriam gets new orders from a masked Forsaken, and in the Tower Egwene tells Seaine to keep up the efforts of getting the Tower back together while she is locked away in a dungeon awaiting trial.

And in our last chapter Aviendha finally picks up what the Wise Ones are putting down, and Shemerin tells the rebels why she is beahving like a non-Aes Sedai and how she got out of the city...

Welcome back, friends! We're already coming up to the midway point of The Gathering Storm, and BOY, is that storm gathering!

Just as Egwene thinks she's making progress in the White Tower, she has a massive confrontation with Elaida that changes the game somewhat.

Cadsuane has an epiphany about how to get to Semirhage.

Perrin decides to go back to practice in the Wolf Dream.

Meanwhile Lelaine is being real crafty in the rbel camp, and Siuan realises she has an ally in Sharina Melloy.

Meanwhile Tuon gets straight into ruling in Altara by bringing Beslan on board and hearing plans from general Galgan. Tylee Kirghan arrives will ill tidings.

And we finally get our first Mat chapter from Brandon, and it's an odd start, but is about to get odder...

Weclome back, gang! We're coming in hot, but not as hot as Adrin, right? 

Aviendha is struggling to see what the Wise Ones are punishing her for, and a man turns into lava. Sort of.

Egwene is finding more success in her attempt to get through to the sisters of the divided White Tower.

Gawyn catches wind of Egwene's treatment in the Tower and decides to make a move.

Cadsuane has Sorilea take a crack at interrogating Semirhage, and she immediately has some success.

Rand catches up with an old friend with odd interior design choices and Min gives Rand a crucial part of his plan for the Dark One!
