The great John Powell passed away on August 18, 2022 at the age of 75. John was a former world discus record holder, 4-time Olympian, 2 time Bronze Medalist, Silver medalist at the 1987 World Championships. His technique, drills and training methods are still being used today by coaches and throwers all over the world. Shaun Pickering, Director of the Heavy Throws United Kingdom, and former athlete of John's, joins Coach Frontier today to share some stories about the legend.
