EP15 - An Inside Look At The Unhealthy Competition Inside The Hong Kong Education System (I)
Teachers, is there anything you hate about the Hong Kong education system? The outdated curriculum which is no longer to our daily life? The lack of respect or demoralization of the teaching profession? Witness your students losing interest in learning and withdraw from classroom activities? Or the dehumanized or unjust education system as a whole?
In this episode (1st of the two-part series), I will share my personal experience of participating in various competitions during my student years and analyze my thoughts regarding the highly competitive culture prominent in the Hong Kong education system. I'm hoping to host a discussion space to exchange thoughts and eventually bring some positive systemic change to education in Hong Kong.
