Well, I’m gonna start out the show by admitting how foolish I feel. My foolish feeling stems from trying too hard to come up with a unique topic for The Outdoor Cooking Show. I was looking over a list of commemorative food days (and weeks and months) when I ran across the fact that July is “National Picnic Month.” I just snapped my fingers and said, “Perfect! Picnics – outdoor cooking – food – fun – family – perfect!” EEAAH! What an idiot. My goodness, what was I thinking? What were they thinking? By “they” I mean the people who picked July for “National Picnic Month”? Why in the world wouldn’t they pick sometime in the spring?
